Well, on a spur-of-the-moment decision, we are going to England, London, and Spain, for the month of February. Thank goodness our wonderful house-sitters are available and will be in the house with the dogs during that time period.
Matt's in Seville, Spain and will be there when we arrive. So we'll stay with him for a little over a week. We arrive the day that Veronica and Ana leave.
My goal now is to pack light (yeah, right). I am trying right now to talk to my Irish relatives to see when we can get to see them.
We're so excited, but it doesn't seem real.
My uncle Louie died the other day and a good friend who was the picture of health (a runner) died in his sleep yesterday, so Bob and I have decided to live by the carpe diem philosophy. So what if we're broke in ten years; we'll be too old to really enjoy traveling then anyway. Even my cynical and very fiscally conservative mother said we should go.
More to come.
